Camilla ready for the pool!

Happy 3rd Birthday Luke!

Today our little man turns 3! It is hard to believe that he is already 3! Luke is such a bright and fun boy. He keeps us laughing. He is so curious and hopefully being 3 will curb some of his curiosity for getting in the fridge, cupboards, and mom's makeup! We are so glad Luke is ours. We love you Luke!

Also, Happy Birthday to my sweet sister Lindsay. She lives too far away (in Northern Idaho) and I wish we were closer. I hope your day is great! We love you!

They both love the camera...must get that from their mother!

Off with the training wheels!

This is Camilla minutes after taking off the training wheels. She has begged to have them removed. After a couple of minutes, she was off on her own. She did have a couple bumps and scrapes, but she did great.

Just before falling over backwards on his head...good thing he had his helmet on!

Fathers and Sons Campout

Chris and Luke went to our ward's Fathers and Sons Campout last weekend. Luke had been looking forward to going with Dad for several weeks. He kept reminding Camilla that she couldn't go. He helped Chris pack the car with the sleeping bags, tent, cooler, etc. They went up north, close to Payson, so it was quite a bit cooler. Chris was worried about Luke being warm enough, but said Luke slept so soundly. Chris on the other hand was up most of the night checking on Luke. Chris said the cooking was great, not your typical "camp food." They had a great time and look forward to the tradition. Camilla is anxiously awaiting a family camping trip (although I don't know when that will be, maybe one up at Uncle Doug's ranch).

Finally...Another Post

I know many of you have been waiting for another post. Let's see if I can do it correctly....
The weather here in Arizona is beautiful. We are in the 80s during the day and the evenings are perfect. Unfortunately, the hot weather will be here soon and it won't be too comfortable in the day or the evening.

We went to the 20 week office visit on Thursday. We took both of the kiddos, since they would be doing the ultrasound. The baby looks great and healthy. We never got a good profile shot. She had her hands and feet both up around her head. Yes, that is a she; we are expecting a little girl at the end of August/beginning of September. We got lots of great shots of her legs and feet, but she insisted on keeping her hands up around her face. She must be a little shy. Camilla is thrilled with the news that she will have a sister. Luke just keeps insisting that it is a "boy baby" (even refusing to pray for "her" and substituting "boy baby").

Camilla had her kindergarten testing today. They said she did really well. She is such a bright little thing. She is reading and doing all sorts of math that I taught in second grade. She is excited to officially start school and to go to the school in the neighborhood.

Luke and Camilla had dentist appointments this week. Luke was excited to go, but not happy at all once we got there. He clenched his teeth and made the hygentist and dentist work to look in his mouth. I think he equates all "medical" facitilites to shots. He needs reassurance any time we are at an appointment that he won't be getting a shot.

Maybe now that I have figured out how to log on, I can keep this updated a little better. My sisters in law are my inspiration, so I'll have to get their advice. Thanks for the encouragement to get going again! We love and miss all of you!!
